Golf Etiquette

Golf Etiquette.

Here is a short guide to golf etiquette and golfing behaviour. It really means showing consideration to the course and other players, especially for beginners it is one of the most common pitfalls. Just keep in mind a few of the simplest rules as soon as you step on to the golf course.
Bunkers:
It is most annoying when some players leaves footprints and club marks in a bunker. Always smooth out any and all marks left by you. If a rake is not available at least try and use your club as best you can to smooth out. Leave the bunker as you would like to see it left.
Divots.
Using a practice swing or an actual swing shot. Take your time and replace the divot in the hole you created and make sure to press down the divot with your foot. It only takes seconds to do it.
Greens.
There is nothing worse than seeing pitch marks left un-repaired. A lot of the time when a ball lands on the green it leaves a pitch mark. You must repair such pitch marks using a special tool or a tee-peg. Make sure to have a pitch mark tool with you always. A brilliant tool is the Victorinox Swiss Army Golf Tool With Callaway Golf Balls The Repair Tool can be extended using the golf ball shaped pushbutton and can be used to repair depressions in the grass. The blades fitted on the side disappear into the inside of the tool with the slightest pressure, so that the fork is very comfortable to use. The blade of the Groove Cleaner can be used to clean the grooves on the golf club, and is very useful for punching the position for the tee--especially in hard or frozen ground. Avoid dragging your feet when on the green as it too will leave line marks on the grass.

Flag: Place it down gently dont throw or drop it. Don’t walk across the line of a players putt. Be totally silent when a player is taking their shot that applies at any time on the course.

Slow Play: While your partner is taking their shot be thinking and preparing for your shot, so as to be ready immediately to take yours. After teeing off try and walk as quickly as possible to your ball. At the green make sure to have your bag at the same side towards the next tee box.

If your golf ball goes into the rough and looks like being well hidden, you should direct the players behind you to play through. Dont give time searching direct them on right away as it prevents delays and frustration to those on the tee box behind you. Remember everyone looses their ball even Tiger Woods.

Top Rated Golf Bags

Top Rated Golf Bags.
What is a Top Rated Golf Bag? Do you judge it by the quality of the bag, the price, the brand name or design. It really depends what you have in mind and how much you are prepared to pay.
It is most important to decide on what type of golf bag you want or that would suit you.
Take a stroll through any major golf retail store and you will find such a large selection of golf bags of all types including colours, stand bags, cart bags, tour bags and golf bags available from all major manufacturers carrying their names and logos. Nike, Callaway, Titleist and many more offer bags to suit every golfer including men, women and juniors.
Top rated golf bags such as the Cleveland Golf Tour Staff Bag with 10.5 inch Top - 28883 Its the same bag used by Cleveland's PGA Tour staff professionals and has 6 way top with two full length dividers, 4 pocket traditional design Main Clothing / Accessories Compartment and Weight: 11 lbs (5 kg. A super bag.

Most golf bags will have numerous pockets and club dividers and many have drinks holders also. The choice of brand names, styles, sizes and colours is almost unlimited. One can get some great deals whether buying on line or in a golf store. Remember if you see a golf bag on line you like, dont get doubts as to the cost of it being sent to you , with the great prices on offer and the low delivery charges. Also if buying outside the USA the dollar rate right now makes it well worth buying on line more than ever. Another golf bag available on lie is the OGIO Atlas Cart Bag - 2007 Model. This bag includes such conveniences as the 10-inch Uniter 15-club suede top with full-lenght compressed-nylon dividers to minimize club contact. All weather rain hood. 37 inches high and 9.5 pounds weight for easy lifting. 13 pockets including one for your cell phone. It has many more features, well worth looking at.

If you always ride a golf cart when you play, a cart bag would be a good choice as it allows you to buy a bag that is roomy and can comfortably carry your clubs and other items and light enough to carry from the car to the golf car If you sometime walk the course, a stand/carry bag is the bag to use. Carrying a large cart bag around the golf course is crazy.

The cost you will no doubt find the big brand names will be more expensive than the lesser known brands. Top rated bags like Nike, Callaway, Titleist and Wilson all produce top notch golf bags in the cart and stand bag varieties. There are of course other brands which produce golf bags that are good quality but lower in price. For many buyers, the name is not of prime importance. The construction and comfort of the golf bag is ultimately the main consideration it should be judged on its usefulness as opposed to the brand name on the side. The material from which it is constructed will also make a difference and many lightweight bags can be bought at a reasonable cost. The more robust a golf bag is the more it will cost. A very good stand/carry bag on the market is the Adams Golf 2009 Ultralight Golf Stand Bag It consists of the following: 7", 5-way top * 4 pockets * IZZO dual strap * Mesh water bottle sleeve * Interior valuables pouch * Interior cell phone handle * Pen sleeve * Padded lumbar hip support * Non-slip foot pads * Integrated trunk handle * Weight: 3.5 lb. Not bad for a stand/carry bag.

If you place a lot of emphasis on the name of the manufacturer as some people do as they feel this gives them some credence among their fellow golfers who give them more respect if they are using a Nike or Callaway as opposed to a lesser known brand. Some of the larger leather bags are outstanding and prominently carry the logos of the main players in the golf industry. Whatever bag you choose to buy, make sure it is one that makes you comfortable on the golf course. Your golf bag will never improve your swing but everything helps.

Putting Tips Golf

Putting.
Read the green, but don’t over think it: study the green, and decide how far to the left or right to aim before making the putt. Of course this is important, but many golfers seem to get a little too concerned with it. If you’re looking at a green and can’t quite decide how to read it, just aim right at the cup! A very good book worth downloading and reading is Breakthrough Putting Secrets Revealed,! it has a easy to follow, step-by-step system its good.

When Putting give all the motion to your shoulders: As you line up over the ball to putt, lock every joint but your shoulders. This includes your wrists, elbows, and knees Make sure all the motion is in your shoulders, and let them swing freely. With the rest of their body locked, many golfers have trouble letting their shoulders move freely when putting and end up with a sort of herky-jerky motion. This will make for an unpredictable putt.

Visualize the ball in the hole. Take a moment before putting and imagine it going in the hole. This can be an invaluable tool when it comes to your game. Remember, positive thinking will not result in positive results, but positive thinking will result in the absence of negative thinking, and negative thinking almost always results in negative results.Visualize the ball in the hole. Finally for practicing at home or in the office a very good instrument to have by a guy called Dr. Gary Wiren PUTTron Putter Face Alignment Training Aid lets you know immediately when your putter is properly aligned to the target by emitting a steady "beep" or a green indicator light. Just attach the small mirror to the heel or toe of your own putter and align it properly with PUTTron.
